Why do people always ponder “If a tree falls in the woods and no one is there to hear it, does it make a sound?”. I look at it like this, when I am asleep and I fart in the bed, I know it still stinks, even though I wasn’t awake to sniff it.
If you really want to know whether or not that fart made a noise as well, you need therapy, but I am pretty sure you can draw a pretty good conclusion and just leave it at that.
